Emily-Anne & Tyler Wedding

There are some weddings that will always mean a little more than others, and this was obviously one of them. My sister Emily-Anne got married, and I somehow ended up wearing just about every hat possible. I photographed the entire wedding, did Emily’s makeup, and helped my mom with some of the planning and decorating along the way. One of my favorite stories actually happened the day before the wedding. We had eucalyptus running down the center of the reception tables, and I looked at my mom and said, “We need something else. They’re just not full enough.” Of course, this sent her into a slight panic because the wedding was literally the next day. I told her and my aunt to go to Walmart and buy green and purple grapes, pears, pomegranates… basically anything that looked like it belonged on a big Italian family dinner table. They both thought I was crazy. Mom even told me, “Don’t be upset if I don’t like it, because if I don’t like it, we’re not doing it.” I styled one table, weaving all the fruit through the eucalyptus, and when she came out to see it, she literally had tears in her eyes. She said, “Hunter, it’s perfect. I couldn’t imagine anything different.” And it really was. It ended up being one of my favorite details of the entire wedding. More than anything, this was just such a fun and special day for our family. I got to watch my mom plan it for months, do my sister’s makeup on her wedding day, and then photograph all of those memories for her. I know so many of you have been waiting to see this gallery, and I’m so excited to finally share it with you. If you’re planning a wedding or portrait session of your own, I’d love to create something beautiful for you, too. Reach out through the contact form on my website to get started.
